Note from Kate O'Hara 2020 Elsie Kate Bennett was born in Oregon. She went to California to get well and a cousin who was a nurse went with her but she did not get better and she died in Oakland 1919. Her husband Arthur Mckeown was a baseball player when she met him, then a miner and then worked for her family. He very sadly, also died young. Velma, the sister in law, took the kids in. |
